Synopsis
I 70-talets USA får vi följa den överintelligenta Jack över ett spann på 12 år och introduceras för de mord som formade Jack som seriemördare. Filmen berättas ur Jacks perspektiv ur vilket han betraktar varje mord som ett konstverk. I jakten på att skapa det perfekta ”konstverket” tar Jack allt större risker samtidigt som det ofrånkomliga polisingripandet kommer allt närmare. Längs resan får vi uppleva hans beskrivningar av problem, tankar och hans personliga tillstånd genom återkommande diskussioner med den okände Verge.
