Synopsis
Diane (Diane Keaton) är nybliven änka efter 40 års äktenskap. Vivian (Jane Fonda) njuter av män utan att ha några tankar på vidare relation. Sharon (Candice Bergen) försöker fortfarande komma över en skilsmässa sedan ett årtionde. Carols (Mary Steenburgen) äktenskap går på tomgång efter 35 år. Denna hysteriska film handlar om fyra kvinnor i en livslång vänskap vars liv vänds upp och ner när deras bokklubb bestämmer sig för att läsa ”Femtio nyanserna av grått”. Från att upptäcka ny romantik till att återuppliva gamla flammor, inspirerar de varandra för att göra nästa kapitel i sina liv till det bästa kapitlet.
